Music 4 Mainstream
Music 4 Mainstream was a short magazine that I organized, finding musical artists I enjoyed and composing interesting visuals with them. Jay Kim was especially hard given how few pictures were available when I made this in 2023. This was a project focused on organizing the hierarchy of imagery and information so none of the pictures or likeness are mine.
I sent this project to the artists in the magazine and chatted back and forth with Jay Kim for a bit. It was a lot of fun to get that positive feedback from another artist I admire!
The next portion of the project involved adapting the information and imagery into a mobile layout. I got to play with more interesting colors and change some of the imagery. While I think the large imagery of print is dramatic and eye-catching, the simple grid of digital work is fun to utilize and break to grab the audience’s attention.
